I’m kind of jumping around here, time-wise. I hope you’ll bear with me, haha.
My dad bought the boys these GORGEOUS handmade 410 shotguns while he was deployed to Turkey after 9/11.
He keeps them locked up in the gun safe at his house, and we bring them out from time to time while we
are up there visiting. I love that my dad does things like this with my boys {not necessarily the gun part,
I don’t actually care much for guns, but the togetherness part}. It’s stuff like this that they will always remember.
The little things, like shooting Pepsi cans into obliteration with their Papaw Bob.

Kaitlyn, however, apparently shares my feelings about guns. And loud noises at all, for that matter.

Oh for sure! I love when my parents do stuff like that with our kiddies too. It’s something they will always treasure in their memories. I love K’s expression, she looks so excited to be there! LOL.
LOL…..it’s great that they’re building memories together
I went target shooting once years ago and it surprised me that I actually enjoyed it. Not enough to do it a second time though. I had HUGE bruises on my shoulder and upper arm. OUCH!
It’s nice they will have these memories with their grandpa!
How fun that the guys have something they can do with their grampa! Something “manly”…they will have great memories about blasting Pepsi cans, and years from now Peopsi cans will trigger fond memories. K, on the other hand….love that expression. I feel her pain!
Kaitlyn and I agree except for I love to skeet shoot – so fun too with the ear protection gear.
<3 the memories!
love that look on K’s face – priceless! And I love the Gpa spoils your boys – even if it is with guns! Great post!
Great memories in these photo’s and with the guns!
What great moments between your sons and dad! Don’t like guns either though…
You captured some good memories Jess
The boys sure look like they enjoy it. Some times it can get loud for sweet little princesses. Being around so many boys Sarah can almost out shoot some of them.
I’d be there with Kaitlin! But somehow, boys really do seem to gravitate to guns, and your DOF in the first shot, and composition, is delicious!
yep its all about the togetherness, great shots
