To be overcome by the fragrance of flowers is a delectable form of defeat.

Just a few from my magnolia tree… Spring is truly its most glorious time.

This is where you will find me in all my random-ness... it is mostly photos and ramblings about my life, but I will sprinkle some client stuff in here & there. So grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile! And leave me a comment to let me know you were here... thanks for stopping by!
xoxo, Jess

I had a little TOO much fun doing this… I’d better be careful, my dork is showing!

Keeping Up With The KardashiPEEPS.

It’s official: my little girl is growing up.
She has her very first “wiggly” tooth!
I can’t believe it. *sigh*
I finally got my hands on some of that super-cool barnwood floor paper,
so I grabbed the girl and snapped a few shots of her on it before that tooth comes out.
For posterity, and all that.
And also ’cause I think she is uber-cute in her v-day jammies.

It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is.
And when you’ve got it, you want – oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do
want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
~Mark Twain
Spring fever. Yep, I most definitely have it.

Ohmigosh.
I am BEYOND thrilled that the warmer weather is finally starting to creep back in!
I am NOT a winter person. Everything is so bleak and barren in the winter.
Sure, snow is pretty… but winter depresses me.
Spring always fills me with optimism for the future… everything is fresh and new, with all-new possibilities…
One of the things I look forward to every spring is watching my magnolia tree come back to life. I literally squealed
with excitement when I saw these bright pink blossoms bursting through those ugly, hairy pods!

On another note, it also means the yard is springing back to life again… including these yucky, prickly weed-thingies.
{yes, that is a technical term!}

No going barefoot for us until we get these under control! Yowch.
Ahhh… love. Isn’t it… lovely?
I had the privilege and pleasure of being asked to photograph our dear friends’ wedding this past Friday.
It was a simple, beautiful affair.
These two have been through more than most people could bear, and all in the past two weeks, and yet
they carry themselves with such poise and grace. They are the strongest people I know, and truly an example
for us all.
Congratulations, Julle Ann & Jesse! I hope you are having fun on your honeymoon in the mountains!

{I always adore capturing the look on the groom’s face as he sees his bride for the first time!}

{first dance… can you feel the love?}

Such a fun couple!

I saw a link to this quiz on Jeannette’s blog today, and had to see for myself.
Maybe this explains why I am always of two minds about everything, and have such trouble making decisions? LOL.

Take it yourself, and let me know which side is dominant for YOU!
Thought I’d post a photo of one of my other kids for a change. You know, just to prove that they DO actually exist.
Devin is going to be the next Tony Hawk when he grows up.

Since this week’s potd theme is “simple pleasures”, and also since my blog got “eaten” and I had to start all over
this week, I thought I’d dig some of my faves out of the archives {aka my photobucket account} and repost them.
I’m sure you have seen most {if not all} of these before… sorry about the repeat! {and sorry some of these are wonky
sizes, I’m too lazy to resize them again today, haha}
These just make me happy to look at. I really need to print some of them.
{particularly the ones of my girl}

Baby piggies…

A twister! A twister!

Love…

Twas the night before Christmas…

How’s that for a random selection? I’ll stop there though… the furthur I dig, the more faves I keep finding!
Ha, got your attention with that title, didn’t I? :p
Just a couple of random birdies I saw at my dad’s feeders over the weekend. K and I filled the new feeder up yesterday
and the robins and starlings quickly found it… I’m hoping for some colorful friends to show up too. Heck, even the
squirrels and chipmunks are welcome, we love to watch all of the critters!
a little goldfinch..

and a little stripey kind of woodpecker.. {I don’t know the actual name for this one}

I saw a pretty red-headed woodpecker too, but he wouldn’t come back to the feeders as long as I was outside.
And of course, a few minutes after we left to come home, my dad called me to let me know the woodpecker was back.
Figures!
